About Copper Mountain Mountain Safety Patrol

Mountain Safety Patrol is a volunteer organization working as an adjunct to the Copper Mountain Ski Patrol. The main focus of the Mountain Safety Patrol is to Create the Best Memories again and again through S.P.E.E.D. Our focus is on Safety, Patrol assistance, Education, Enforcement and Delighting the guests. Mountain Safety Patrol volunteers must competently ski or ride blue designated trails or above. The Mountain Safety Patrol team primarily focuses on SLOW skiing trails which tend to be the highly congested trails but the volunteers must also learn every ski trail, every mountain emergency phone and commonly used internal locations. Mountain Safety Patrol volunteers also carry mountain radios, and must understand and use proper radio protocols.

Mountain Safety Patrol volunteers commit three days a month from November to April and are compensated with a season pass and complimentary lift passes for friends and family.
